Job Summary
The primary responsibilities include coordinating pre-visit preparations, assisting during clinical examinations, and performing patient care procedures within the scope of practice. The goal is to ensure efficient and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates pre-visit preparations, addressing special patient needs and ensuring the completion of relevant labs and tests.
- Escorts patients to exam rooms and performs vital sign checks.
- Conducts patient care procedures, including injections and EKGs within the Medical Assistant scope of practice.
- Obtains blood specimens and maintains a professional and patient-sensitive atmosphere.
- Assists providers with office procedures and prepares requisitions for laboratory submission.
- Sends electronic prescriptions as instructed by providers and communicates with patients regarding instructions.
- Cleans and restocks exam rooms while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient records.
