Job Summary
Our client is seeking a System Professional Coding Provider Review and Education Manager responsible for onboarding, educating, and reviewing medical record documentation and coding processes of physicians and other billing providers. This role includes conducting medical record audits, supporting coding operations, and contributing to administrative functions as needed. Education will be provided both on-site and remotely, in collaboration with coding and physician management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage staff of educators to ensure quality and accuracy in training sessions.
- Prepare and conduct coding documentation and billing education for providers.
- Create materials using appropriate federal, state, and coding guidelines.
- Deliver annual and quarterly updates to providers on coding procedures and guidelines.
- Create and maintain education schedules in collaboration with physician leads.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State Coding Regulations.
- Maintain a shared organizational repository with documentation guidelines.
- Communicate coding recommendations effectively to medical staff.
- Collaborate effectively with clinicians and Revenue Cycle and Coding leadership.
Qualifications
- Required CPC, COC, or CPC-I certification with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of managerial experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Advanced coding education with strong foundation in E/M coding.
- Extensive knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain active certifications and participate in continuing education.
Experience
- 8-10 years in coding, teaching, and auditing.
- 3-5 years in a managerial position within healthcare or coding.
- Experience in teaching and auditing E/M coding for physicians.
Skills
- Technical skills: Microsoft Office Suite, E/M coding, electronic health record systems.
- Soft skills: Communication, teamwork, ability to work under pressure.
Additional Requirements
- Full-Time position requiring 37.5 hours per week.
- Travel required to various sites as needed.
- Flexibility to report on-site to support operational priorities.
