Job Summary
The Information Security Engineer II is a pivotal member of our client's Information Security team, responsible for designing, implementing, and leading core security engineering and architectural deliverables. The role requires deep technical expertise and independence, driving security initiatives throughout the healthcare system. You will collaborate with leadership, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to develop secure, scalable solutions that meet regulatory requirements, business objectives, and address evolving cybersecurity threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security solutions like EDR, MDR, Vulnerability Management, and DLP programs.
- Ensure the resiliency, security, and integrity of the organization's computing environment, including protecting sensitive information and meeting national regulatory requirements.
- Lead enterprise-class security projects with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with various teams within the organization to drive Information Security standards into delivered solutions.
- Document and create Project Plans, Visio Diagrams, SOPs, RFPs, etc.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required; BA or BS Degree in Computer Information Technology or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security as an Analyst or Engineer.
- 3+ years of experience in leading security projects.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, segmentation strategies, and Zero Trust methodologies.
- Familiarity with threat hunting, vulnerability management, and Infrastructure as Code security in DevSecOps environments.
- CompTIA Security+ and CASP+ certifications preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience as an Information Security Analyst or Engineer.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, security tools, network traffic analysis, and email security gateways.
- Experience with forensic analysis, penetration testing, and security event correlation.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in Palo Alto Firewalls, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Defender for Endpoint, Tenable, BigFix, Proofpoint.
- Strong interpersonal, customer interaction, and documentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework, HIPAA compliance, PCI Guidelines, and CIS Benchmarks.
