Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Customer Service Advocate to join our team with a primary focus on providing exceptional customer service. This role offers the opportunity to work in two key areas: Call Center and Advocacy, with responsibilities spanning across both roles. You will determine pharmacy eligibility, manage communications, and maintain confidential information.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine pharmacy eligibility by reviewing, researching, and analyzing information in the appropriate system.
- Record and respond to calls/emails/faxes from members, providers, and pharmacies.
- Provide exceptional customer service for both incoming and outgoing calls.
- Maintain HIPAA/PHI guidelines to ensure confidentiality.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate parties.
- Deliver timely and thorough responses to customers.
- Call Center: Manage 30-50 calls per day, primarily inbound calls.
- Advocacy: Handle a task queue with primarily outbound calls, ensuring patients receive medication at optimal prices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy or PBM call center.
- Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology/benefits.
- Pharmacy Tech Trainee or certified Pharmacy Technician (preferred).
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work across hybrid shifts, with detailed attention to privacy regulations while working from home.
- Must have a private and HIPAA-compliant work environment for remote days.
