Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Practice Administrator who will oversee the management and direction of the clinic/department. The role involves supporting all clinic/practice operations by providing leadership, planning, financial management, clinical staff supervision, patient management, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee overall management, direction of the clinic/department, and provide leadership, planning, financial management, clinical staff supervision, and operational oversight.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle operations, including Patient Financial Manager and others, to ensure patient-centered environment and positive educational and financial outcomes.
- Supervise all aspects of practice/clinic operations with a focus on Credit Balances, patient scheduling, chair utilization, and patient rosters.
- Enhance practice operations and internal controls for patient experience in clinics.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, policies, and guidelines per University, Dental School, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor performance management accountability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and skills as typically acquired through completion of a BA/BS or Associate’s Degree with 1 year experience, or a High School Diploma/equivalent with 3 years related experience in dental/medical revenue cycle operations.
- Discretion and effective interaction with people from diverse backgrounds while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Driven, innovative, independent, team player, analytical intelligence, and healthcare business or insurance knowledge.
- Dental coder certification (CDC) required or obtainable within 1 year of hire.
- Expert Microsoft Office suite knowledge: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of medical/dental patient care systems or customer service platforms.
Experience
- 5+ years in a dental/medical practice/clinic with at least 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
Skills
- Expert knowledge of ADA codes, CPT Codes, axiUm, MassHealth and Medicare regulations, and insurance coding/billing practices.
- Operational knowledge in fast-paced dental/medical settings.
Additional Requirements
- Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with some Night Clinic coverage to 7:00 PM.
