Medical Assistant (On-Site)

Location: Lawrence, MA (primary clinic on Haverhill St. + second site a 5-minute walk away)
Pay Rate: $21–$26/hr (flexibility available for contract-only candidates)

Role Summary

This Medical Assistant position supports a fast-paced continuity of care clinic. In this role, you will work in a 1:1 ratio with providers, performing both clinical and patient-facing duties. The work environment offers strong hands-on experience similar to urgent care and provides opportunities for growth and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain HPI (History of Present Illness) and document patient visit reasons

• Room patients and support daily patient flow

• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing

• Set up procedures and prepare rooms for vaginal exams

• Request nursing assistance when needed

• Float between two nearby clinic sites as required

Must-Have Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma

• Current CPR certification

• Bilingual in Spanish

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Athena EMR

Interview Process

• 1 onsite interview/tour with the nurse manager and 1–2 team members

Available Schedule Options

1. Wednesday–Friday, 8am–6:30pm (30 hrs)

2. Mon 9am–5:30pm; Tue & Wed 9am–9:30pm; Fri 9am–5:30pm (40 hrs)

Note: For 12-hour shifts, MAs receive a 45-min lunch (15 min paid) and an additional 15-min paid break after 4pm.
