Job Summary
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a hands-on role in changing lives. Working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will support children through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, helping them build key life skills and overcome behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow personalized treatment plans designed by a BCBA, focusing on teaching important skills and reducing behaviors that impede learning.
- Work one-on-one with children, building trust and offering positive reinforcement as they work on communication, social skills, daily routines, and more.
- Track progress by carefully collecting data during sessions to assess effectiveness and inform adjustments.
- Guide children in developing skills across various areas including social interaction, daily living, and early academics, at their own pace.
- Utilize proven strategies to manage challenging behaviors effectively and replace them with more constructive alternatives.
- Collaborate closely with BCBAs and other professionals to ensure optimal support for each child.
- Maintain organized and accurate records to document growth and progress.
- Adhere to the RBT Code of Ethics, ensuring confidentiality and seeking guidance when necessary.
