Job Title: Security Manager
Overview
The Security Manager will serve as a hands-on leader responsible for both executing and managing security initiatives across multiple domains, including cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), security operations, and security applications. This role is ideal for a security professional who thrives in both strategic planning and tactical execution, and who is ready to grow into a senior leadership.
The successful candidate will oversee a small, agile team while maintaining direct ownership of critical security projects and technology implementations. This is a local, on-site position requiring close collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing security team of 4–6 members.

Hands-On Execution: Contribute directly to one or more technical security areas (Cloud Security, IAM, Security Operations, or Security Applications).

Security Strategy: Develop and execute enterprise security strategy — including tool selection, risk mitigation, and cost-effective program implementation.

Vulnerability Management: Identify and reduce security vulnerabilities across systems, applications, and networks.

Tool Management: Evaluate, implement, and optimize security tools to align with business and compliance objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Engineering, and Executive leadership to ensure security initiatives support overall business operations.

Incident Response: Oversee and, when necessary, directly lead response efforts to security incidents and investigations.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including at least 2 years leading small teams (4–6 members).

Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in at least one of the following domains:

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to balance tactical work with team leadership and strategic planning.

Business Acumen: Understanding of organizational operations and experience communicating effectively with non-technical executives.

Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.

Location: Local candidate required (on-site presence expected).
Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.

Experience leading or contributing to security transformation initiatives or enterprise tool evaluations.

Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2.
