Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Patient Account Representative. The primary responsibilities include handling medical billing and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate data entry, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess expertise with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payor billing and collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Possess knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10, Revenue Codes, and Authorizations.
- Manage A/R collection practices, addressing denials, and processing appeals.
- Utilize basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to complete tasks.
- Research account activity and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Understand Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance processing and EOB’s.
- Apply familiarity with inpatient and outpatient payment methodologies for Medicare, Medicaid, and Third Party insurances.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and independent thinking.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent data entry, organization, and customer service skills.
- Minimum of at least two years’ recent experience in medical billing and accounts receivable preferred.
- Direct experience with Medicare & Medicaid is preferred.
- Experience working in a medical office is preferred.

- Minimum of two years' recent experience in medical billing and accounts receivable.
- Direct experience with Medicare & Medicaid billing and collections.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with reliable judgment.
