Job Summary
As a Behavioral Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in changing lives. Working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you’ll support children through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, helping them build key life skills and overcome behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow personalized treatment plans designed by a BCBA, focusing on teaching important skills and reducing behaviors that get in the way of learning.
- Work one-on-one with children, building trust and offering positive reinforcement as they work on goals related to communication, social skills, daily routines, and more.
- Carefully collect data during sessions so the whole team can see what’s working and where adjustments might be needed.
- Support skill development in social interaction, daily living, and early academic skills at the children’s own pace.
- Use proven strategies to help children manage challenging behaviors and replace them with more beneficial alternatives.
- Collaborate closely with BCBAs and other professionals to ensure each child receives the best support possible.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation to measure growth and stay on track.
- Adhere to the RBT Code of Ethics, including maintaining confidentiality and seeking guidance when needed.
