Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator responsible for supporting the patient intake process for billing and payment inquiries via phone and direct patient engagement. The role also assists with administrative processes within the Business Office, providing interdepartmental support as needed.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Respond to subpoenas and other requests for patient billings.
- Provide documentation support to department/medical center staff as requested.
- Manage paper correspondence from insurance companies and patients, ensuring proper allocation to patient accounts or departments.
- Receive and direct incoming calls professionally and courteously.
- Communicate with tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity in customer interactions.
- Greet patients professionally, ascertain reasons for visits or calls, and initiate resolutions.
- Support the patient financial assistance process, including application management and patient education on financial assistance programs.
- Manage requests for itemized bills, ensuring proper authorization and timely document delivery.
- Respond to requests for information such as POS printouts and copies of insurance cards.
- Assist billers with clerical support.
- Engage in patient collection processes, handling payments, and updating accounts as needed.
- Update electronic patient accounts for performed activities.
- Demonstrate complete understanding and proper usage of department equipment.
Schedule / Shift
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
