About the Role:
Seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant. This position requires experience in accurately overseeing patient flow in the clinic, entering medical information into the patients’ EHR chart, and rooming patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient intake, taking vitals, chart prep, and experience covering both front and back office duties.
Type: Full Time
Location: On-site in Arlington Heights, IL
Shift: Monday - Friday (rotating schedule between 7:45AM - 4:15/4:30PM or 8:00AM - 5:00PM)
Pay: $20-22/hr
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant/certified nursing assistant
Education: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), medical assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a college course in medical assisting
Technical Skills: Knowledge of health care field and EMR systems
Knowledge: Strong understanding of patient care practices and procedures, patient education needs, and performing medical assistance tasks appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision of the Office Manager and/or Administrator, the Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant bears the responsibility of:

Overseeing patient flow in the clinic, entering medical information into the patients’ EHR chart, and rooming patients.

Obtaining accurate current weight, vital signs, allergies and medications with each office visit.

Administering vaccinations and B12 injections.

Obtaining and handling specimens and entering orders through requisitions and computer.

Assisting physicians as needed.

Supporting the front office by answering phones and checking patients in.

Maintaining current BLS certification.
