Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide elective care to cosmetic clients through injection procedures. This role involves medical assessments, creating treatment plans, administering treatments, and maintaining excellent patient care and satisfaction. The role is supervised by the medical director and involves collaboration with the clinic team to meet client needs safely and effectively.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Conduct thorough client assessments, review medical histories, and perform relevant exams for treatment suitability.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, known as Healthy Aging Plans, in collaboration with other providers.
- Administer injections (Botox, dermal fillers, etc.) and procedures per physician protocols.
- Document treatments, client interactions, and progress accurately in patient records.
- Ensure completion of all client consents and medical documentation before treatment.
- Follow up with clients to assess outcomes and ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere to clinic protocols as per the GS protocol manual and other resources.
- Participate in training for latest techniques and best practices in cosmetic dermatology and injectables.
- Support and supervise nursing staff or medical assistants, ensuring safe and effective treatments.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by performing compliant exams and protecting client privacy.
- Provide personalized care, address any post-treatment concerns, and follow up on recovery and satisfaction.
- Maintain client records and treatment rooms following protocols for safety and sanitation.
- Collaborate in team meetings to discuss clinic operations and improvements.
- Engage in marketing and abide by the social media policy.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current state license in good standing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office; dermatology or aesthetic medicine preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience with laser treatments and some experience with injectable treatments.
- Additional certifications or specialized training in cosmetic dermatology and laser treatments are a plus.
Experience
- At least one year of experience in a medical setting, specifically dermatology or aesthetic medicine.
- Experience with injectable treatments and medical procedures in a clinic environment.
Skills
- Knowledge of dermatology, skin care treatments, and related pathology.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Client-centric approach and empathy in patient care.
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to train junior staff.
Schedule / Shift
Clients are seen throughout the day, with patient books building over time. Expect an average of 3-4 patients per day at the start and 5-7 as the practice grows.
