Job Overview - Medical Front Desk

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our clinic. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring smooth front office operations.

Onsite Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm (40/wk) 

Location: Plantation, FL 33322

Duration: 6 month contract to full-time hire. Client can convert you to a full-time employee at any point during the contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients with professionalism and care

• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, or direct calls as appropriate

• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments

• Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays or payments

• Maintain and update patient records accurately in the EMR system

• Ensure the front desk and reception area remain clean, organized, and welcoming

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• 2–3 years of medical front desk experience (preferred)

• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems (a plus)

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

• Must be able to pass a drug and health screening, background check

Nice to Have Skills

• Bilingual in Spanish
