Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Scheduler, you will be the primary point of contact for patients and providers, managing the full spectrum of appointment and scheduling logistics. Your daily duties will include:

Appointment Management: Schedule new and return appointments, manage changes, and handle cancellations for patients. Follow up on no-show appointments.

Prior Authorizations & Referrals: Obtain, enter, and track all necessary authorizations and referral correspondence.

Complex Scheduling: Coordinate outpatient appointments, testing, and hospital admissions.

Financial Coordination: Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket payments. Arrange for financial counseling for patients as needed.

Provider Support: Maintain the physician's schedule, including meetings, rounding, and on-call coverage.

Communication: Manage incoming calls for scheduling, provide patients with appointment cards, and handle new patient referrals, scheduling their initial appointments.

Compliance: Protect patient confidentiality at all times and adhere to all front office policies and procedures.

Teamwork: Provide coverage for other front office staff as needed.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: Prior Medical Office Experience is required.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Technical: Strong Computer / EMR Skills.

Pay: $20 - $24 per hour, depending on experience.
