Job Summary
The Training Coordinator will lead the development and management of technical training programs within our client's biotechnology operations. This role ensures that all personnel, especially those with skill gaps, are prepared to meet industry standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotech or life sciences, a passion for adult learning, and the ability to enhance team performance through strategic, hands-on instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Technical Training Programs: Create and deliver training modules on lab techniques, SOPs, equipment use, aseptic processing, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct Competency Assessments: Evaluate employee performance and identify gaps in technical knowledge, documentation practices, and procedural adherence.
- Remediate Skill Deficiencies: Design targeted interventions for underperforming staff, including coaching, retraining, and performance improvement plans.
- Track and Report Metrics: Maintain training records, analyze effectiveness, and report KPIs to leadership.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: Work closely with analysts, technicians, QA, and production leads to ensure training content reflects current best practices and regulatory expectations.
- Support Audit Readiness: Ensure training documentation and employee qualifications are audit-ready for FDA and partner audits.
- Lead Onboarding Programs: Deliver orientation and foundational training for new hires entering technical roles.
- Ensure Compliance: Stay current with industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure training programs meet all necessary guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Education, or related field preferred.
Experience
- Proven ability to train and motivate personnel with varying levels of skill and engagement.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and other regulatory regulations (e.g., ISO).
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic Quality Management System.

- Able to translate complex scientific concepts into digestible training formats.
- Comfortable working in cleanroom environments and around sensitive equipment.
- Highly organized, with a sharp eye for documentation and compliance details.
