Job Summary
Our client is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join the team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, assisting with inquiries related to insurance, billing, appointments, medical records, and other healthcare services. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to navigate complex systems while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls, emails, or chats from patients, providers, and insurance representatives in a timely and courteous manner.
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and understanding billing statements.
- Process and follow up on prior authorizations, referrals, and claim inquiries.
- Resolve issues related to medical records, prescription refills, or test results by coordinating with appropriate departments.
- Document all interactions in the appropriate systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comply with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Escalate unresolved issues to supervisors or appropriate departments when necessary.
- Provide exceptional service and maintain a positive attitude even in high-stress situations.
