Job Summary
The ETL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining healthcare data exchange solutions with various stakeholders. This includes working with ANSI X12 and HIPAA-compliant transaction sets to support claims, eligibility, billing, and more. The role involves ensuring data quality, regulatory compliance, and optimizing workflows while providing mentorship to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with source systems, data stewards, and technical teams to ensure effective data governance and resolve data quality issues.
- Work closely with business teams to gather requirements and implement data exchange solutions.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts and engineers.
- Design, develop, and maintain data exchange transactions with healthcare providers, payers, and PBMs.
- Work with ANSI X12 and HIPAA-compliant transaction sets and NCPDP pharmacy standards.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and improve data exchange performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data exchange transactions.
- Support Master Data Management plans and collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in systems integration or ETL, including tools like Informatica and Microsoft SSIS.
- 3+ years in EDI development, preferably in healthcare or PBM.
- Proficiency in mapping tools, scripting languages, and integration frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Healthcare experience, particularly with PBMs, is preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years in relational database experience, preferably SQL Server, and experience in data integration methodologies.
- 1–2 years in data warehouse concepts.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Proficiency in ETL standard tools and familiarity with advanced integration topics.
