Job Summary
Our client is seeking four contractors to assist with their Accounts Receivable (AR) clean-up project, anticipated to last approximately six months. This role involves working with EPIC to interpret postings, denials, resolve claims, and maintain effective communication with both internal and external customers. The project is heavily focused on managing Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess accuracy of demographic and policy information within patient accounts and update as needed.
- Scan and photocopy patients' identification and insurance cards.
- Respond promptly to correspondence and phone calls related to patient accounts.
- Document communication and transactions in patient accounts accurately.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and authorization requirements daily.
- Communicate with internal and external parties regarding non-covered benefits or financial responsibilities.
- Stay informed about updates and changes in Payor authorization processes.
- Resolve Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) issues in collaboration with Leads.
- Contribute to team efforts and protect confidential patient information.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and stay current with healthcare industry changes.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with EPIC and understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer processes preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Completion of a criminal background check and a 10-panel drug screen.
- Proof of immunization through titers for MMR, Varicella, and TB screening.
- Verification of education and employment history for the past 5 years.
