Job Summary
As the Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the overall process of the distribution, movement, storage, receiving and shipping operations of our warehouse, ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient shipment processes. Your primary responsibility will be to synchronize our processes to levels with customer demand, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically plan, manage logistics and warehouse personnel.
- Select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers.
- Coordinate the sourcing and procurement of materials from the company's vendors and clients’ suppliers.
- Oversee the shipment process, ensuring smooth customs clearance and timely deliveries to meet clients SLAs and expectations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, sales, and customer service to align inventory strategies with business goals.
- Utilize data-driven insights to improve inventory accuracy, minimize stock-outs, and reduce carrying costs.
- Monitor shipment invoicing and ensure accuracy in billing and documentation.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in warehouse management and 3PL.
- Proven track record in managing shipments, customs clearance, and international freight forwarding.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools to drive informed decision-making.
- Experience with shipment invoicing and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Deacom) is preferred.
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in warehouse management and 3PL.
- Proven track record in managing shipments, customs clearance, and international freight forwarding.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with shipment invoicing and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Deacom).
