Job Summary
Our client is seeking detail-oriented and reliable individuals for a short-term contract position as a Benefit Verification Specialist. In this vital role, you will help patients confirm their healthcare insurance coverage is active and accurate for prescription drug products, making it a great opportunity to apply your experience in the healthcare insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a high volume of outbound calls to patients to re-verify their insurance details.
- Clearly and professionally communicate with patients, payers, providers, and pharmacies to gather necessary information, ensuring a positive and seamless experience.
- Document patient information and verification outcomes accurately in our system.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily and weekly re-verification goals.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic patient inquiries regarding the re-verification process.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the job location. The contract runs from December 1st through mid-February, with the possibility of extension. No time off is permitted during the contract, though a single, pre-planned appointment may be accommodated with prior notice. Training occurs from December 8th to December 26th, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM AZ time. Post-training shifts require flexibility for any 8-hour period between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM AZ time, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
