Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Recovery Specialist responsible for managing medical claims and accounts receivable processes. This role includes submitting medical claims, performing accounts receivable follow-ups, participating in third-party recovery projects, and supporting pre-collection and recovery tasks. Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, monitoring service levels, and effective communication with client designees are key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Submitting medical claims, medical records, reconsideration requests, and appeals.
• Performing accounts receivable follow-up and reviewing EOB’s for payment or denial inaccuracies.
• Participating in third-party recovery projects for clients.
• Reviewing aging reports and researching accounts using multiple resources for resolution.
• Assisting with client and company-specified service levels and monitoring.
• Answering inquiries related to claims from patients, insurance companies, or clients.
• Identifying and reporting trends to team leaders or supervisors.
• Ensuring compliance with HIPAA rules and protecting patient privacy.
• Adhering to client policies, procedures, and applicable law and regulations.
• Communicating with client designees to complete required tasks.
