Job Summary
Our client is seeking MRI Technologists to join their integrated health system team. The professionals in this role will mainly work in a hospital setting, with some support at outpatient locations as needed. Key responsibilities include operating MRI machines, preparing patients and materials, and managing all related medical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Start the day by turning on machines and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Manage 10-15 patients during a 10-hour shift, primarily focusing on cardiac cases, with some brain, spine, breast, and orthopedic patients.
- Prepare materials such as contrast and i-STAT for blood work; start IV injections for contrast.
- Handle patient positioning, MR safety, IV contrast procedures, and understand the physics of the machine.
- Operate Siemens Era 1.5T, Siemens Avanto 1.5T, and Siemens Verio 3T machines.
- Document signs, symptoms, patient history, and details of contrast use in EPIC EMR system.
- Respond to 10-20 calls per day, primarily concerning patient registration and consultation with doctors regarding orders.
Qualifications
- ARRT or ARMRIT accepted
- Experience with patient positioning, MR safety, IV contrast, and machine physics is necessary.
- Proficiency with Siemens MRI machines preferred.
- Comfortable performing venipuncture and starting IVs.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in operating MRI machinery and EPIC EMR software.
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and coordinating with medical staff.
Additional Requirements
Flexible shifts available, including weekday and weekend options, with candidates able to request either 5-day 8-hour shifts or 4-day 10-hour shifts.
