Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified MLT/S to join the main processing hub in East Providence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants hands-on laboratory duties.
The MLT is responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures - both manual and automated. You will be analyzing/interpreting results and entering data into the LIS. The MLT is also encouraged to make recommendations on the status of new test procedures and/or products.
Responsibilities / Job Duties

Possess working knowledge of all aspects of venipuncture procedures

Follows departmental policies to correctly identify the patient before any blood specimen is drawn.

Accurately identifies the specimens through labeling by writing the patient’s last name and first name on each specimen/test tube, dating it and recording the phlebotomist’s initials

Follows strict safety precautions for drawing specimens- Incumbent should be knowledgeable in general laboratory safety procedures

Follows company policy concerning proper transportation of laboratory specimen
Qualifications
- Registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist / Technician by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification
Schedule / Shift
Mon - Fri: 7:30 AM - 4 PM OR Mon - Fri: 3 PM - 11:30 PM
**Both shifts are expected to work every third weekend: Sat & Sun, 7:30 AM - 4 PM
**Evening shift, $3/ hour differential
**Sunday hours, time and a half
