Job Summary
Our client is seeking a full-time Mammography Technologist to join a dynamic team. The incumbent will operate radiologic equipment and perform mammography procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease, ensuring patient comfort and providing high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
- Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce accurate images.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation levels.
- Process images and review them for proper identification and quality control.
- Provide information on breast self-examination to patients and answer questions.
- Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and arrange for repairs as needed.
- Assist with MQSA inspection and perform required Quality Assurance tests.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in diagnostic and screening Mammography.
- Experience in performing Stereotactic biopsies.
- Prior experience with Hologic Dimensions is preferred.
- Must have NYS RT license and ARRT (M) certification.
- DEXA experience preferred; training available.
Education
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Mammography specialty training certification (ARRT-MG).
- NYS RT License with Injection.
- Active BLS training.

- Proficient in MS Office word processing software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in challenging situations.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to manage emotional customer interactions effectively.
- Ability to adhere to quality control and safety protocols.
- Strong mathematical and reasoning abilities to interpret technical instructions and variables.
