Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Lead MRI Technologist to operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment for producing cross-sectional images of patients for diagnostic purposes. The primary goal is to deliver high-quality, compassionate diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview patients to explain procedures and request removal of metal objects.
- Position patients and place specified coils close to the area of interest.
- Demonstrate the use of a microphone for patient-technologist communication during exams.
- Enter data into computer, such as patient history and anatomical area to be scanned.
- Specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers in the computer.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort during the examination through a control room window.
- Ensure the quality of scanned images on display screen.
- Maintain knowledge of MRI Safety and MR Zones.
- Maintain patient care, comfort, and safety during exams.
- Stay technically competent through continuous education and training programs.
- Administer contrast agents under the guidance and approval of the site Radiologist.
- Comply with facility policies and procedures, and maintain current licensure in all states where services are performed.
- Perform equipment quality checks, troubleshoot problems, and notify pertinent team members.
- Maintain a clean environment inside and outside the scanner.
- Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
Experience
- Minimum six months to one year of related experience preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in MS Suite, GE RIS-IC, AMBRA, and PACs.
- Problem-solving, customer service, adaptability, dependability, and quality-oriented.
- Ability to effectively respond to inquiries and present information in group settings.
