Job Description
We are looking for a dependable Medical Assistant with a Limited X-Ray License to join our Los Angeles clinic. This position supports clinical operations by assisting providers, performing limited-scope radiographic imaging, and ensuring smooth patient flow. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, accuracy, and empathy in every interaction while maintaining compliance with all clinical and safety standards.
Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
- Assist clinical and back-office teams to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
- Prepare, position, and image patients in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot X-ray equipment safely, following all radiation protection guidelines.
- Ensure all studies are completed efficiently and processed accurately using digital radiography systems.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Document imaging and clinical information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with providers to clarify chart notes, procedures, and patient updates.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
- Keep the clinical area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Consistently report to work on time and ready to begin the day’s responsibilities.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:
- Current State of California Limited X-Ray License (Extremities only – GE Definium XR/F machine).
- ARRT(R) certification preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish highly preferred
Schedule/ Shift: Monday - Friday 11am - 8pm
