Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Customer Care Representative to join their Member Experience team remotely. The primary responsibilities include assisting members by relieving administrative tasks such as answering customer service inquiries and clarifying questions about benefits and eligibility. The role includes alternating between handling inbound calls and managing emails/chats daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Member Experience team by addressing member service questions.
- Provide clarity on benefits, eligibility, and other inquiries.
- Engage with both members and healthcare providers effectively.
- Use ZenDesk for customer service operations.
- Participate in a two-week training program covering insurance basics, regulatory plans, and internal procedures.
Qualifications
- Approximately 3 years of insurance customer service experience.
- Knowledge of claims, eligibility, and explanation of benefits (EOB).
- Strong phone and written communication skills.
- Preferred: Background in Healthcare TPA or Health Plans.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in the insurance customer service sector.
- High-level understanding of insurance claims, benefits, and eligibility processes.
Skills
- Experience with ZenDesk or similar customer service programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Soft skills: Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
Additional Requirements
- Work schedule: 40 hours/week, flexible hours across different time zones.
- Laptop provided for remote operations.
- Initial training conducted virtually as part of onboarding.
