Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP preferred, open to PA with a strong nursing/clinical background) to join their team. The role involves managing a patient panel in collaboration with a supporting physician. Responsibilities include examining, diagnosing, and treating patients, as well as providing health maintenance exams and prescribing necessary medications. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and familiar with the unique needs of patients served by Federally Qualified Health Centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a patient panel with the support of a collaborating physician.
- Conduct health maintenance exams for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans based on exam and test results.
- Provide patient education and promote health empowerment and disease prevention.
- Document and maintain patient records in accordance with program standards.
- Participate in established call groups and refer patients to specialty practices as needed.
- May instruct medical or nursing students and participate in administrative tasks as required.
- Flexible with working hours and location within designated centers.
Qualifications
- Experience in primary care, integrated health, or working with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).
- Strong understanding of patient care and healthcare for underserved populations.
- Ability to operate within the scope of practice as agreed with the medical director and in compliance with Ohio state law.
Additional Requirements
- Flexibility to work at multiple health center locations within a short driving distance.
- Willingness to participate in an in-person interview with clinical leadership.
