Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join the quality assurance team on the 2nd shift from 12:00-8:30pm, Monday-Friday. The role involves ensuring product quality and safety in manufacturing or distribution settings through detailed inspections and testing. The QC Inspector I will collaborate closely with production or distribution teams to resolve quality issues and support process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
- Use measurement tools to verify product dimensions and specifications.
- Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Collaborate with teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and efficiency.
- Evaluate and repackage inbound damaged finished goods.
- Support inventory stock checks, recall verifications, and product rework assignments.
- Compliance with SOPs, Quality Systems, OSHA guidelines, and company regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of quality control experience in a regulated industry.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of quality control experience in a regulated industry.
- Experience in medical device and/or drug manufacturing setting is preferred.
Skills
- Basic math skills including fractional to decimal conversions.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments and at heights.
- Capability to sit, walk, or stand for prolonged periods, with frequent bending and kneeling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of quality regulations such as GMP, GDP, ISO, or 21CFR 820, 210 - 211.
