Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to provide comprehensive support for daily clinical operations and the growth of their clinical practice. You will be working collaboratively with physicians and dietitians to support outstanding patient experiences and enhance practice efficiency. This is a remote role open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S. with typical working hours from 9:00-5:00 in the local time zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a panel of patients, serving as the primary point of contact for questions and troubleshooting issues.
- Coordinate exceptional care through general inquiries, routing questions/concerns to the clinical team, and assisting with billing and coverage inquiries.
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, and coordinate clinician schedules with attention to detail and flexibility.
- Communicate with patients regularly to maintain engagement with the clinical team.
- Assist with prior authorization and prescription-related tasks.
- Provide administrative support for clinicians as needed.
- Communicate patient feedback to internal teams to improve operational tools and patient care.
- Contribute to special projects as directed.
Qualifications
- Candidates with a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification are required
- A strong customer service drive and passion for helping patients.
- At least two years of experience in a fast-paced medical practice with knowledge of medical practice operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong coordination, judgment, and prioritization skills.
Experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced medical practice.
Skills
- Proficient in computer skills, particularly with platforms such as Slack and Google Workspace.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
