Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse Practitioner / Sub-Investigator for a part-time, non-exempt position. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of clinical trials, acting as a liaison with investigators, sponsors, and study participants, and ensuring trial activities adhere to protocols, regulatory standards, and best practices. The position also includes performing delegated medical assessments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete and maintain site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and processes as required.
- Maintain Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification and IATA certification for shipment of hazardous goods.
- Participate in all study-specific training and maintain medical licensure and professional certifications.
- Attend Investigator Meetings and Site Initiation Visits.
- Train staff participating in the trial and collaborate with Regulatory staff to obtain necessary approvals.
- Ensure all documents, equipment, and approvals are in place prior to study initiation.
- Coordinate with recruiters and office administrators to schedule study visits and obtain informed consent from study participants.
- Conduct protocol-driven procedures and assessments, accurately document data, respond to data queries, and manage lab procedures and study supplies.
- Serve as Sub-Investigator on assigned trials and perform delegated medical procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, sponsors, and site staff.
- Contribute to a collaborative and professional workplace environment and support additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license.
Skills
- Strong medical judgment in relation to clinical protocols and ability to assess patient safety.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
