Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support their clinic by providing essential point-of-care tasks and working closely with a provider's team. The clinic is currently undergoing changes and needs strong MAs to ensure smooth operations, particularly in handling renal transplant patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a provider to see approximately 30 patients a day.
- Perform point-of-care tasks like urine dips and recognize abnormal results for critical patients.
- Collaborate with back office staff, med students, and fellows.
- Adhere to the Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional flexibility required.
Qualifications
- Active MA certification from in-person proctored exams by NHA, AAMA, or AMT.
- Updated CPR certification (BLS) is required before starting.
- Four or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Experience
- Minimum of four years' experience as a Medical Assistant.
Skills
- Familiarity with Epic is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Basic computer knowledge is needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a flexible and easy-going personality.
Additional Requirements
- Onsite interview with the director is required.
- Role is contract-to-hire (C2H) for 520 hours.
