Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Back Office Manager responsible for ensuring the effective operation of back office tasks in a high-volume women's healthcare environment. The role includes managing medical assistants (MAs) who will initially support the entire office and learn to specialize in specific providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain vital signs, and assist with medical history documentation.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including pelvic exams, pap smears, and ultrasounds.
• Provide patient education on women’s health topics, including contraception, prenatal care, and menopause management.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and record results accurately in patient charts.
• Create and manage patient charts using Athena EMR system.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient information, including medical history, medications, and allergies.
• Handle patient inquiries and communicate test results professionally.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and surgeries as required.
• Sterilize and prepare medical instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
• Stock and maintain exam rooms and clinical areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
