Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their dynamic team in a sub-specialty ophthalmology medical practice. This full-time, day-shift position involves working in multiple clinic locations, focusing on patient care and supporting physicians and peers. The role includes IV procedures, EMR systems management, and collaborating in clinical team settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with physicians and other medical professionals regarding patient care.
- Perform compliant and complete patient work-ups in a timely manner.
- Create, maintain, and contribute to patients’ medical records.
- Administer medication, including IV procedures under the physician's direction.
- Respond effectively to patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Demonstrate excellence in management, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage administrative duties.
- Travel is required between clinic locations.
Qualifications
- Compact State Nurse License (Required).
- Associate degree (Preferred).
- 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred).
- Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records.
- Proficiency in computer operating systems and software applications.
Additional Requirements
- Must hold a current valid nursing license (or temporary license) from the Kansas and Missouri State Board of Nursing.
- Ability to travel and work in different clinic locations.
