Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide to manage a designated number of beds within a skilled nursing facility. The primary responsibilities include medication dispensing, assisting with patient care, maintaining medicine carts, and ensuring the well-being of residents.
Key Responsibilities

Manage 16-17 beds in the skilled nursing facility.

Dispense patient medication and support general nursing activities including feeding, bathing, and ADLs.

Prepare, administer, and document medications according to regulations and policies with RN oversight.

Order medication timely when required.

Assist with patient care including bathing, oral care, shaving, skin and nail care, and dressing of residents.

Maintain medicine cart in a neat and orderly manner.

Report any changes or concerns to RN immediately.

Follow all procedures for medication administration as per Pharmacy Policies and Procedures.

Maintain confidentiality of all residents.

Complete all required trainings and in-services.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Active GNA License (Geriatric Nursing Assistant).

Active CMA License (Certified Medicine Aide).

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and push a medication cart throughout shift.

Strong patient service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with patients’ families and visitors.
Shift/Schedule:
-
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Weekend rotation: Every other weekend, same hours

Days off during week to accommodate weekend rotation

Weekend differential: Additional $2/hour for weekend shifts
