Job Summary
Our client seeks a dedicated Research Assistant to support their mission of providing exceptional mental health services. This role involves contributing to innovative clinical trials, offering treatments that may be otherwise inaccessible to patients.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Support clinical research activities, including checking in patients, monitoring, taking vitals, scheduling, and communication with trial participants.
- Prepare source charts and ensure the use of the most recent version.
- Collect and record vital signs, including supine, standing, and abdominal circumference.
- Perform procedures as trained on-site by clinical trial sponsors.
- Conduct lab draws, processing, and shipping if licensed in phlebotomy.
- Assist with scheduling vendor and sponsor-related meetings, while maintaining organization and communication with the team.
- Maintain department supplies and equipment according to policy, and ensure a clean working environment.
- Support EDC entry related to source documentation.
- Assist with patient recruitment through internal referrals.
- Participate in on-the-job training as required.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Phlebotomy license highly recommended.
Qualifications
- GCP training can be done on-site or must have been completed in the last year.
- Human Clinical Trials standardized certificates are preferred or can be obtained on-site.
- Experience in psychiatric clinical research preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience as a medical assistant, research assistant, or in a similar position in the psychiatric field preferred.
- Excellent customer service commitment and capability.
- Exceptional communication skills, punctuality, and reliability.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and grow with the company.
Experience
- Minimum two years of experience as a medical assistant, research assistant, or a similar position in the psychiatric field preferred.
Schedule / Shift
Full-time position, expected working hours are 35 – 40 per week.
