Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Infusion Registered Nurse to provide infusions of biologic medications. The ideal candidate will have strong IV skills, be comfortable with ports and peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) lines, and be able to educate patients on medication self-administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide infusions of biologic medications and manage peripheral lines for new patients.
• Teach infusion patients self-administration of medications and document in medical records.
• Review and chart daily laboratory results, communicate findings to physicians and patients.
• Eprescribe prescriptions at doctor’s order and coordinate with pharmacies.
• Handle patient and other telephone calls and review EMR charts for upcoming appointments.
• Participate in quality assurance, educational activities, and use clinical judgment for patient care.
• Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
• Facilitate good interpersonal communications and provide clinic coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong IV skills with experience in handling ports and PICC lines.
• Proficient in electronic medical records and prescription coordination.
• RN Licensure in state of IL
