Work Location: Webster, TX 

Pay Rate: $21-22/hr

Job Description:

You will be responsible for managing collections for physical therapy services, working closely with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely payments. This position requires prior experience with outpatient physical therapy billing and a strong understanding of insurance processes for both government and commercial payers.

Responsibilities/ Job Duties: 

• Communicate directly with patients regarding their financial responsibility
• Document all patient and insurance communications accurately in the billing system
• Establish and maintain payment arrangements in line with policy
• Manage and follow up on outstanding self-pay accounts
• Review and work insurance denials and submit appeals as needed
• Contact insurance companies via phone or portals to verify eligibility and benefits
• Collaborate with therapists and the insurance verification team
• Read and interpret clinical documentation within WebPT
• Use Paragon billing system for claims management
• Assist with other billing and collection duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:  

• 2+ years of experience working/collecting on commercial and govt payers
• Front end insurance verification knowledge
• Physical Therapy billing or collections experience

Schedule/ Shift: Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
