Licensed Benefits Advisor – Remote

 

We are seeking skilled Health & Life Benefits Counselors to join our upcoming class for the AEP season. In this role, you will help employees understand their benefits programs and available services. While Benefits Counselors play a key role during open enrollment, responsibilities also include supporting benefit communication projects throughout the year.

 

📅 Assignment Dates:

• Start Date: September 29
• End Date: November 21 (Friday before Thanksgiving)

 

What You’ll Do:

• Answer benefits questions for core products: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits - This is not a sales position
• Provide assistance with ID cards, in-network provider searches, and benefit administration login/password resets
• Guide employees through enrollment assistance (not sales – purely education and guidance)
• Participate in training and become proficient in:
• Client benefit programs and services
• Call center technology and processes
• Client benefit administration platforms

 

License & Compliance Requirements:

• California Life, Accident & Health Insurance License required to be considered
• Must obtain additional licenses before start: Arizona, Iowa, Indiana, Washington
• Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance required prior to start
• Candidates must be open to obtaining additional licenses if needed
• Reimbursement provided for licenses and E&O insurance after 2 weeks of successful employment

Training & Equipment:

 

• Training begins September 29 (recorded sessions)
• Must have your own laptop (no Chromebook), plus plug-in headset and monitor
• Equipment may be provided if needed ($300 refundable deposit)

 

Pay Rate:

• $30 - $36.50/hour
• Based on experience and qualifications
• Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) may receive higher pay

 

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 9 AM – 8 PM EST
• No overtime

 

Top Qualifications:

✅ Experience with open enrollment

✅ Active California Life, Accident & Health Insurance License

✅ Ability to obtain additional state licenses (AZ, IA, IN, WA)

✅ Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance

✅ Strong computer skills (pass Computer Literacy assessment)

✅ Excellent customer service and phone etiquette

✅ Bilingual English/Spanish candidates strongly encouraged
