Position: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Behavioral Health)

Compensation & Schedule:

• Pay Rate: $38.50 – $43.25 per hour.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (Some Flexibility)

• Community Hours: Approximately 8–14 hours per week spent in the field, with the remainder of client visits conducted in the clinic.

Role Overview:

We are seeking two full-time Psychiatric Registered Nurses to provide essential psychiatric care through both community outreach and clinic-based services. One position will focus on a general client population, while the second will work specifically with clients aged 55 and older as part of a grant-funded initiative. These roles require compassionate professionals with experience in psychiatric nursing and a strong commitment to serving diverse and elderly populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct home visits and community outreach for medication administration and client check-ins.

• Provide ongoing psychiatric care, assess client needs, and make referrals to additional services as needed.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all client interactions.

• Focus on older adult populations (for the grant-based position) while providing tailored psychiatric support.

• Collaborate with community support workers for all community visits, particularly for ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) clients.

• Spend approximately 8–14 hours per week on community visits, with most clients seen in a clinical setting.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active RN license in Washington, DC.

• 1–2 years of nursing experience (3+ years preferred).

• Prior psychiatric RN experience, ideally with ACT programs.

• Experience with elderly populations and strong ability to navigate behavioral health needs.

• BSN not required.

Preferred:

• 3+ years of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience.

• Background in skilled nursing facilities or assisted living.
