Job Title: Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Remote: Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri | On-site: Thurs – Chicago office)
Employment Type: Temporary Contract - 13 weeks

Job Overview:

Seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to support essential finance operations including AP, AR, billing, and general ledger maintenance. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in Excel and QuickBooks, and can turn around special requests efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support both accounts payable and receivable processes

• Manage general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across AP, AR, and general ledger entries

• Assist with weekly and monthly financial close activities

• Analyze and resolve payment, vendor, or provider issues promptly

• Process employee expense reports and assist with billing

• Contribute to special projects and other tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Receivable (AP experience strongly preferred)

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Proficiency with QuickBooks

• Ability to manage special requests quickly and accurately

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Associate degree or relevant experience also accepted)
