Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to support the daily operations of our client's medical office. This role combines traditional medical secretary duties with broader administrative support responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and a professional, compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage provider calendars.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls; respond to inquiries.
• Prepare and maintain patient records in EMR systems.
• Verify insurance information and obtain authorizations or referrals as needed.
• Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and external parties (labs, pharmacies, specialists).
• Process medical documentation including forms, letters, and referrals.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Provide administrative support to physicians, office managers, and clinical staff.
• Manage office correspondence, emails, and internal communications.
