Job Summary
Join our client as a Clinical Support Specialist and become a key player in their Clinical Care team. You will utilize innovative software to optimize patient outcomes, enhance patient care, and deliver top-notch clinical services. Working under the supervision of a Pharmacist Team Lead, your primary responsibilities will involve making outbound calls to patients, providers, and pharmacies to address patient cases using risk stratification algorithms. You'll engage in scheduling appointments, resolving medication-related issues, answering support requests, and collaborating with the Clinical Pharmacists and Product team.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Engage patients over the phone to deliver services on behalf of their health plan, explaining clinical programs and benefits.
- Identify and escalate potential medication-related and health-related issues to the pharmacist.
- Obtain provider contact information to facilitate clinical interventions.
- Record accurate patient information for clinical interventions.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providers, and pharmacies professionally.
- Maintain accurate records using the client's software platform.
- Participate in process improvement meetings and team meetings to optimize workflows.
- Follow up with hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and patients to resolve clinical issues and concerns.
- Schedule patients for telephonic or video conference appointments with clinical pharmacists.
- Assist with obtaining referrals and authorizations.
- Undertake other assigned projects.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- State Licensed Pharmacy Technician
- Highly preferred candidate with National Certificate (PTCB or ExCPT)
Qualifications
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and medication names (brand and generic).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and MacBooks.
- A team player mindset with the ability to work independently.

Ability to work 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday)
