Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Rheumatology Physician (MD) to serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) for their upcoming clinical trials. This position allows for part-time flexibility to accommodate your clinical practice. As a PI, you will provide leadership and oversight for study execution, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory guidelines, and study protocols. Your clinical expertise in rheumatology will be essential for the success of these trials and for delivering high-quality care to study participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the PI for clinical trials, providing medical leadership and oversight for the study team and participant safety.
- Ensure all study activities are conducted in compliance with GCP, IRB requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Perform medical evaluations, assessments, and study-related procedures as outlined in the protocol.
- Collaborate with the study team to ensure accurate and timely data collection, documentation, and reporting.
- Review study data for accuracy, safety signals, and protocol compliance.
- Participate in investigator meetings, training, and sponsor communications as needed.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical staff involved in study execution.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of study protocols and procedures.
- Uphold ethical standards in the conduct of clinical research and ensure the well-being of all study participants.
- Contribute to the growth of the clinical trial portfolio by identifying and bringing in new trial opportunities in the field of rheumatology.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with active medical license in Utah.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology.
- Prior experience in clinical trials as a PI or Sub-Investigator is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of GCP, ICH guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
