Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide coverage support at a primary care clinic. This contract role offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a team-oriented outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities

Use nursing skills to assess patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and manage patient flow.

Conduct nursing assessments, including patient history, physical examination, and vital signs.
-
Provide treatment within scope of practice as defined by state law.
-
Collaborate with Physicians or Licensed Independent Practitioners to coordinate further care or treatment.
-
Perform occupational and health screening tests such as EKGs, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing, as defined by the site contract.
-
Conduct lab tests and ensure quality control procedures are followed.
-
Accurately document all aspects of nursing assessments, treatments, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.

Identify emergency situations and deliver care within legal nursing scope of practice.
-
Administer medications and treatments as directed by a Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner.

Evaluate patient education needs and provide appropriate health training and instruction.
-
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records (electronic medical record systems may be used depending on the site).

Identify and report equipment in need of repair to the lead clinician.
-
Ensure a clean, safe clinical environment in accordance with infection control procedures.
-
Protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
-
Participate in follow-up visits and phone calls as needed.

Other nursing duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Active and unrestricted LPN license
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) — hands-on course required
-
Experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting preferred

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time-management skills
