Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Bilingual Substance Abuse Coordinator who, under the supervision of the Program Manager, will be responsible for managing the program. The position involves providing individual and group counseling to participants, presenting educational lectures, leading process groups, formulating and reviewing individualized treatment plans, and maintaining progress notes. The coordinator must effectively communicate with participants and maintain linkage with related organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement program goals and assist staff in clinical matters and responsibilities.
• Audit case files to ensure compliance with agency and SUPR standards.
• Conduct didactic groups and provide individual counseling.
• Perform intakes, assessments, and daily documentation of participants in clinical records.
• Handle an assigned caseload, document discharge plans, and monitor treatment progress.
• Provide DUI services, off-site services, and support for re-entry navigation.
• Complete assessments of participants' substance abuse history and develop treatment plans.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, fundraising efforts, and scheduled supervision meetings.

Qualifications

• Active CADC Certification
• Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Knowledge of Illinois DUI laws and evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing and CBT.
• Excellent writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and adapt to schedules and workload demands.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to use personal vehicle during employment.
