Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Registered Nurse to conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and implement effective nutritional care plans to optimize patient health. This role involves selecting and applying appropriate assessment tools, reviewing dietary intake, and considering various health-related factors to support nutritional management. The position also emphasizes collaboration with medical staff and supporting the overall nutrition service line with evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Conduct nutrition assessments based on patient needs or regulatory requirements.
• Select and apply appropriate assessment tools and procedures.
• Review dietary intake and evaluate for nutrition-related consequences using medical history and data.
• Perform nutrition-focused physical exams to determine malnutrition risk.
• Evaluate psychosocial and behavioral factors related to food access and health condition understanding.
• Assess patient and family knowledge and readiness to learn for behavior change.
• Organize assessment data related to nutrition problems and prioritize issues for patient health optimization.
• Document nutrition diagnostic statements and formulate action plans based on evidence-based guidelines.
• Coordinate care with colleagues to ensure appropriate transitions of care.
• Serve as a resource for medical staff on nutritional management and present current clinical knowledge.
