Job Summary

The Billing Manager position is responsible for developing, executing, and managing our client's research billing compliance program to meet all legal and institutional requirements. This role drives a culture of compliance and ethical standards in research billing, ensuring a robust and well-maintained environment. Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, ensuring quality and efficiency, and contributing to strategic and operational objectives. The Manager provides guidance to staff, participates in staffing decisions (hiring, termination), coaches and counsels employees, and assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures. This position also implements training, monitoring, and operational initiatives to ensure compliance with ethical and legal business practices, as well as accreditation, regulatory, and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage staff selection, scheduling, supervision, retention, and evaluation, providing development and mentoring to meet or exceed department turnover goals.
• Plan and organize daily department operations, schedules, and activities to ensure optimal service delivery and high customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ensure a safe and effective working environment, proactively improving safe outcomes and monitoring workflow for process improvements.
• Assist in department budget development, ensuring cost-effective operations and implementing strategies to meet financial and staffing targets.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions for practice/workflow changes to improve operations and support change initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospital/Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

• Five years of progressively responsible experience in research billing compliance.
• Experience with OnCore and EPIC preferred.

Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in performing assigned job duties and effective communication skills.
• Ability to interact with others to build confidence in intentions and organizational goals.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements

• Business Professional attire required.
• May require travel within and outside the metropolitan area.
