Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Registered Dietitian to organize all aspects of nutrition care. The position involves nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, patient education, and counseling. The role requires staying current with the latest research on health conditions related to nutrition and adjusting treatment plans to improve patient outcomes. The Registered Dietitian will be integral in setting up a new program, rotating between three clinics in Los Angeles and conducting telehealth consultations as needed.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Provide nutrition services and Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) in alignment with the patient’s medical needs.
- Offer MNT for individual and group clinical classes covering pediatric, prenatal, adult patients, and conditions such as oncology and metabolic disorders.
- Complete clinical nutritional assessments and establish care plans.
- Document patient progress in patient records.
- Educate and evaluate patients on clinical nutrition, developing educational materials for patients and staff.
- Participate in community outreach activities to promote clinical nutrition services.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Registered Dietitian.
- Familiarity with National, Federal, State, and Local networks and Population Health measures.
- At least one-year experience working with prenatal patients.
- Ability to travel between multiple clinic sites.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records.
Skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex medical information into simple terms.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of office systems.
Schedule / Shift
The candidate will rotate between clinics in Los Angeles with some telehealth visits as appropriate.
